Cheers to a cozy cardamom coffee cocktail for the weekend!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 oz bourbon
  • 1 oz Kahlua
  • 1/2 oz lemon juice
  • dash bitters
  • 1-2 oz cardamom honey syrup (recipe below)
  • sparkling water, to top

cardamom simple syrup

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp whole cardamom pods
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Instructions
 

  • To make the cardamom honey syrup, combine the honey, 1/2 cup water, cardamom pods, and cinnamon stick in a small sauce pot. Bring to a simmer, then remove from heat and steep 10 minutes. Discard the cinnamon stick and cardamom.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the bourbon, Kahlua, lemon juice, bitters, and syrup. Add ice and shake until cold. Pour into a cocktail glass and top with sparkling water. Garnish with sugared rosemary (recipe in notes) and a cinnamon stick, as desired.

Notes

*Sugared Rosemary: Heat 1/4 cup water and 1/4 cup of sugar until the sugar dissolves. No need to boil. Dip rosemary sprigs in the syrup and lay on a wire cooling rack for an hour. Sprinkle with sugar.
