peppermint stick white russian
Sweet chocolate rim dipped in crumbled peppermint adorns this lovely, simple nightcap perfect for Christmas evening.

- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips, melted
- 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies
- 2 oz vanilla vodka
- 2 oz Kahlua
- 2-3 drops peppermint extract
- 1-2 oz heavy cream
Melt the chocolate chips in a shallow bowl. Place the crushed peppermint candies in another. Dip the rim of a cocktail glass first in the chocolate, then twist and roll into the candies.
In a shaker, combine the vanilla vodka, Kahlua, and peppermint extract. Add ice and shake until cold. Pour into the rimmed cocktail glass and top with desired amount of heavy cream. Serve with a peppermint stick.
*Any leftover melted chocolate and candy canes can be used for additional cocktails.
*To crush the peppermint candies: Place the candies in a ziptop bag and squeeze all of the air from the bag. Seal tightly. Pat firmly with a meat mallet or a rolling pin until the candies are crumbled into small bits.
