spiced cider sangria

A cozy pitcher drink for Thanksgiving.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups apple cider
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/3 cup Cointreau
  • 1 bottle white wine (I like pinot griogio or sauvignon blanc)
  • 2 honeycrisp apples, sliced
  • 4 cinnamon sticks

Instructions
 

  • In a pitcher, stir together the cider, bourbon, Cointreau, and wine. Drop in the apple slices and stir once more. Cover and chill at least 2 hours in the fridge, or up to overnight.
  • When ready to serve, divide the sangria into cute glasses and top with a cinnamon stick.

Notes

*Make ahead: The sangria will do well made up to 2 days in advance, however, I do recommend adding the cinnamon sticks in the final couple hours before serving becauseĀ that shit is potent.
