spiced syrup
1/2cupmaple syrup
4cinnamon sticks
2whole cloves
2orange peels
1star anise pods
Instructions
In a small saucepot, combine the maple syrup, cinnamon sticks, anise pods, cloves, and orange peels. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and steep 10 minutes. Discard the solids.
In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine the syrup, tequila, orange juice, lemon juice, and pomegranate juice. Stir in pomegranate arils and cinnamon sticks, as desired.
